INITIATIVES @ GREEN CAMPUS
Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is committed to save energy and reduce greenhouse emission through the following initiatives:
i. Electric saving campaign
ii. Promote the use of zero emission vehicle in campus
iii. Increase the use of renewable energy in campus
The Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) recognizes water as an important element to be conserved and its campus wide community depends on water. UPSI introduces several initiatives to conserve water as follows:
i. Student organizations related to SDG to to promote activities or events to communicate water conservation to peers
ii. Water saving campaign in campus
iii. Promote research and development on conservation of water by using rain harvesting system
Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) execute the waste management plan to recycle and reuse. UPSI promotes the community of the campus to preserve the campus ecosystem by reducing the plastic and paper usage.
Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is a leading university to educate the community on sustainability and preservation. The graduates from UPSI are embedded with the teaching knowledge on sustainability.
The Green Campus initiatives are implemented actively in UPSI campus to create and cultivate the culture of sustainability. We execute the green campus initiative in a teamwork that includes lecturers, students, administrations and communities.
Our sustainability activities have always been free and accessible to the society. We train teacher practitioners on sustainability and preservation to implement the concept of eco lifestyle in public or private schools.
